Our team of roughly 270 total employees serves a population of over 400 total residents on 62 acres that back up to the Occoquan reservoir.

We are currently seeking a compassionate Independent Living Administrator to join our community for an Full-Time Basis. 

This position is primarily responsible for providing resident services to Independent Living Residents which include maintaining the Resident Handbook, ensuring that family members are apprised of resident care needs as they arise, and providing transition guidance to residents when appropriate. This position is also responsible for developing and maintaining compliance with CARF-CCAC standards, as well as continuous process improvement.

Summary of Responsibilities

Direct and manage all aspects of Resident Services

Direct and manage all aspects of CARF-CCAC compliance and accreditation process

Direct and manage Transportation services

Direct and manage Fitness services

Direct and manage Beauty and Barber services

Direct and manage the Manager on Duty program

Direct and manage the Resident Floor Captain Program

Direct and manage the Accessibility Program and Plan

Direct and manage the Resident Review Team

Act as staff liaison to the Resident Council

Oversee departmental policy and procedure writing and annual review

Participate in the Senior Leadership Team which includes meetings; strategic planning; budget management; process improvement, etc.

Fulfill Senior Leadership Responsibilities; e.g. MOD, Stand Up Leader, CARF-CCAC, Operations Planning and Reporting

 

Demonstrates Ingleside Core Values at all times: Accountability, Respect, Innovation, Stewardship and Excellence

Present CARF education at the New Employee Orientation / Monthly Annual Training (NEOMAT) each month.

Resident Services

Provide resident services to Independent Living Residents

Manage the handling of internal relations, including transitions, with support from the Social Worker, for Independent Living residents which includes the triage of resident issues with staff and family members

Ensure that family members are apprised of resident care needs as they arise

Conduct bi-monthly Resident Review Team meetings

Provide transition guidance to residents when appropriate

Provide orientation to all new residents. Enable effective transitions for all new residents.

Develop, implement, evaluate and improve on-going communication processes with Independent Living Residents

 

Maintain Resident Handbook                         

CARF-CCAC Compliance and Accreditation

Ensure maintenance of the accreditation through the Annual Conformance to Quality reporting process  

Implement the Performance Management and Measurement program including continuous process improvement utilizing the Plan, Do, Study, Act process and participate in applicable resident/staff committees that support this function.

Management Responsibilities

Lead and manage direct reports ensuring productivity, efficiency and accuracy in work performed.

Ensure initial and on-going training is provided to employees as needed; ensures cross-training is completed as appropriate.

Identify unacceptable performance and behavior exhibited by employees and take appropriate timely action; utilize conflict resolution policy or performance improvement policy when appropriate and maintain documentation as required.

Conduct annual performance evaluations of staff; send copy of evaluation to Human Resources.

Assure that staff follows established policies and procedures at all times.

Screen, interview, and hire new staff on an as needed basis.

Update job descriptions and departmental policies and processes on an annual basis.

Summary of Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field, seven (7) to ten (10) years of management and social services experience required. Incumbent should be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form, possess high-quality verbal and written communication ability, strong customer service and interpersonal skills, and be available to handle community relations.
