Westminster at Lake Ridge is a premier Continuing Care Retirement Community serving older adults in three levels of service: Independent Living, Assisted Living and a Health Center. Our team of roughly 220 total employees serves a population of over 400 total residents on 62 acres that back up to the Occoquan reservoir. We are currently seeking a compassionate, and experienced human services professional to join our team and community as the Staff Scheduler/Supply Technician.

Key Responsibilities:


Maintains the master schedule and ensures all shifts are covered according to census and per regulation

Prepares and maintains the HC master schedule at least two weeks in advance to ensure appropriate coverage per census and DC regulation. Sends notification of available shifts to appropriate staff via scheduling system. Schedules escorts for resident's appointments as needed.Keeps updated master schedule posted on each nursing station.

 Central Supply Functions

Maintain Health Center Central supplies Research comparative pricing for medical supplies and order from most competitive vendor as approved by NHA. Receive inventory ordered and distribute to the proper persons or units. Maintain par levels for medical supplies. Collaborate with nursing department to generate resident bills for facility medical supplies used by residents. Maintain accurate records of medical supplies distributed to caregivers on each unit.

Maintains professional presence when representing Westminster at Lake Ridge Retirement Communities; exhibits degree of professionalism consistent with standards in performance, behavior, and appearance.

Maintains resident confidentiality and privacy at all times according to policies and procedures; uses discretion when discussing confidential matters. Maintains positive working relationships with management and coworkers; willingly follows directions and requests as appropriate. Exhibits professional standards through appearance and demeanor consistent personnel standards. Follow all OIG Compliance requirements to comply with Federal and State laws/regulations

Participates in in-service, projects, or committees as assigned.

Demonstrates flexibility, open mindedness, and versatility in adjusting to changing environments and      requirements as necessary. Commits to continually improving his/her skills through participations in education opportunities whether offered on the job, within, or outside of the community, to increase knowledge of work-related issues. Maintains a current knowledge of federal, state and other regulations applicable to job. 

Safety & Security

Reports any potential safety hazard(s) immediately to supervisor or other appropriate personnel. Reports any injury of resident, visitor, or employee immediately to supervisor or other appropriate personnel. Provides assistance to resident, visitor, or employee in an emergency situation; following the proper emergency procedures.


High school diploma or general education degree (GED), six (6) months to one year related experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to speak effectively to residents, visitors and other employees. Customer service and high exposure are important functions. Accuracy in documentation is essential. Must have high organizational skills. Must be able to practice discretion in various situations. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Must be computer literate.
