We are currently seeking a compassionate, and experienced human services professional to join our team and community as a Licensed Social Worker for our Independent Living Community

Position Overview:

This position is primarily responsible for providing psychosocial needs and services to residents in in the Independent Living community. Additional duties include acute interventions and case work services, education, prevention, and successfully handling resident grievances.

Requirements:

Graduate degree in Social Work from an accredited university, with at least five (5) years of Social Work experience, and one (1) to three (3) years of long-term care services experience required; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be licensed to practice in the state/jurisdiction where the community is located. Must be proficient in the operation of computer applications and general office equipment. Incumbent should be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form, possess high-quality verbal and written communication ability, strong interpersonal skills, and be knowledgeable of long-term care practices.

Responsibilities:

Provides educational opportunities, support and outreach to residents, families, staff, and others to anticipate and provide for the psychosocial needs of person served at the WLR location. Proactively maintain a critical working knowledge of all ongoing, non-critical resident behavioral and mental health concerns, and coordinates appropriate colleagues, resources, and services as needed.
