Job Requirements
Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Professional (CHESP) certification highly
desirable.
Minimum of five years of EVS/Housekeeping experience in a senior living
community preferred.
Five plus years of direct EVS/Housekeeping operational management
experience.
Demonstrates excellent customer service skills.
Experience with Federal & State healthcare surveys.
Experience with P&L accountability highly desirable.
Demonstrates computer literacy and has a working knowledge of all EVS and
community required software programs to include but not limited to Microsoft
Office Suite.
Job Summary
The Director of Environmental Services is responsible for the overall management of the
Environmental Services/Housekeeping Department at Westminster at Lake Ridge. The
leader in this role will lead employees and oversee departmental operations within the
established objectives, standards, policies and procedures. Oversees the day to day
operations of the department and the execution of assigned duties within federal, state
and local regulations. The EVS Director will be financially accountable for the EVS
department operating within the approved budget, while providing the maximum value
spent. In addition, the EVS Director will foster strong interdepartmental relationships
and integrate the EVS Department with the community plans of operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintains an environment that is in sanitary, attractive and in orderly
condition.
Plans, organizes, directs, coordinates, and supervises the functions and
activities of the department staff.
Conducts regular management staff meetings; communicates with
members of other departments to coordinate housekeeping activities.
Maintains the department in an "inspection ready" state at all times,
assuring the department operates within federal, state, and local
regulations.
Maintains excellent relations with residents, employees, and all community
department leadership.
Serves on community committees and professional organizations.
Follows all Ingleside policies and procedures.
Promotes the professional growth and development of the EVS team.
Implements change to the environmental services program that enhances
the desirability of the community for current and future residents.
