Westminster at Lake Ridge is a premier Retirement Community serving older adults in three levels of service: Independent Living, Assisted Living and a Health Center. Our team of roughly 270 total employees serves a population of over 300 total residents on 62 acres that back up to the Occoquan reservoir.

This is a great opportunity to join a mission-oriented organization and engaged leadership team that strives to make a difference in the lives of others.  We are currently in search for a Dining Supervisor with an excellent service attitude, who works well under pressure and enjoys helping other people. The Dining Supervisor is primarily responsible for supervising the daily set up operations of dining services and ensuring the satisfaction of the residents dining experience.  Additional duties include server training, catering supervision and cleaning of dining areas.


  1. Ensures all dining services operations are in compliance with state and federal health and food regulations.
  2. Conducts training of new servers and on going training of current servers.  Monitors dining servers to ensure that training is implemented and practiced.
  3. Acts as a leader and manager of assigned positions, ensuring productivity, efficiency and accuracy in work performed.
  4. Maintains a professional presence when representing Westminster at Lake Ridge; exhibits a degree of professionalism consistent with Westminster's standards and expectations.
  5. Demonstrates professional development and competent skills in all activities.
  6. Complies with Westminster at Lake Ridge's established safety rules and practices.


  • High school diploma or GED with 3 to 5 years experience as a dining room supervisor preferred.
  • Full comprehension of training class and procedures before starting.
  • Know proper sanitation and cleaning methods.
  • Must posess strong customer service skills; must be courteous and tactful even under stressful circumstances.
  • Knowledgeable of restaurant procedures and practices.
  • Must be knowledgeable of correct procedure for lifting and carrying tray of plates, glasses, and utensils, up to 40 pounds.
  • Must be proficient in the operation of computer applications.
  • Must be able to function as a member of a team.



Scheduled a minimum of 40 hours per week and as needed to complete dining room server staffing.

The Dining Room/ Dining Service Department is a 7-day-a-week, 14-hour-a-day operation.

All employees are required to work on any day of the week according to the schedule and shift developed to meet the needs of the department.
