Summary:

This position is primarily responsible for partnering with the stakeholders at Westminster at Lake Ridge (WLR) in a Human Resources leadership role. This position manages the HR function within the Westminster at Lake Ridge community, including but not limited to; recruiting, hiring, training, and handling employee relations. This position is responsible for all required reporting such as the EEOC, OSHA, various wage surveys, and payroll based journaling (PBJ). Additionally the HR Manager is responsible for executing a variety of in-service education programs, budget development, managing compliance, recordkeeping and overseeing payroll (Ultipro) within the community. This role also requires the ability to write the WLR operational HR goals in alignment with and in support of Ingleside's strategic plan. This HR department at WLR consists of the HRM and an HR Coordinator.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management or related field is a must, five to ten years human resources experience with at least three years in a leadership role. SHRM certification preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  The ideal candidate will model extraordinary leadership skills, employee relations skills, and is a leader in the field of Human Resources. Experience working in a retirement community is preferred.   

Incumbent should be able to understand and carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form, possess high-quality verbal and written communication ability, strong interpersonal skills, and be knowledgeable on current Federal and State employment laws. Must be proficient in the operation of computer applications and possess the ability to develop, interpret, and administer policies and procedures.
